Screen sharing

I work virtually with my team and use screen sharing a lot. I have a laptop (Windows 8.1) and two external monitors. I typically share my second monitor and sometime throughout my meeting the screen sharing just freezes. The only way to get the screen share back is for me to drop out of the meeting, close the browser and come back in. This happens on both Chrome and Firefox. Anyone else experience this? Thoughts?

Re: Screen sharing

You'll find references to the Windows 8.1 screensharing issue on this and other Adobe forums. We first reported it to Adobe more than a year ago when we saw it on Connect 9.2.2, but there's still no resolution: http://www.connectusers.com/forums/topi … indows-81/

Last week I reproduced it on Connect 9.5 with the latest beta add-in given to us by Adobe. I submitted the add-in debug log and a Connect recording illustrating the issue, but I haven't heard back yet.

For what it's worth, to recover from the bug, I don't actually have to completely close the browser; I have to close the add-in window and relaunch the meeting (i.e., leave the Connect session and rejoin).

We also see a fair number of corrupt Connect recordings when a Windows 8.1 computer is sending VOIP audio and camera video. In certain recordings, the audio will stop broadcasting and/or the camera video will freeze at some point during playback. These typically can be repaired with Jaydeep's Recording Repair Tool: https://my.adobeconnect.com/JRRA

We haven't seen the screenshare freeze bug with Windows 10 yet, but we haven't rigorously tested it yet. We'll be testing that soon.

Good luck.

Re: Screen sharing

I've been having some screen share freeze and camera freeze issues using windows 10, was wondering, is there a best browser to use or does it make any difference
