Hey Jorma,

I don't know if you can help me or not but I've been struggling with this for over an hour now and I can't get an uploaded .mp3 to play.

I've followed the instructions at http://www.connectusers.com/learning_ce … player.php but for some reasons when the xml loads the player just shows 'Track Info' and 'Artist Info' even though I've entered them into the XML file.

Here's what I'm doing:

1. Upload an .mp3 file into Shared Content/RoyaltyFreeMP3
2. Inside the folder is my uploaded .mp3 file
3. I go into 'Download Content' and under 'Download output file(s) there is the .mp3 file, in this case boombornblues.mp3
4. I right click and select 'Copy Link Address'
5. When I paste it into the XML it looks like this, 'http://oomphhq.adobeconnect.com/boombor … nblues.mp3'
6. I have tried copying both this version and a version without the '?download=boombornblues.mp3' into the xml file to no avail.
7. The xml file looks like;

<songs>
    <song url="http://oomphhq.adobeconnect.com/boombornblues/output/boombornblues.mp3" track="Boom Born Blues" artist="DanoSongs.com" />
</songs>

8. If I create a Share Pod I can load the .mp3 file into it and play it.
9. If I paste the URL into a browser it will load it and play it with Quicktime

The only thing that won't play it is the MP3 player!

Getting a bit frustrated to say the least.

Tony

I just tried putting the .mp3 file on an external server to see if that would work but no luck either even though you can go to the link in a browser and play it :-(

Re: Unable to load music into mp3 to play on Adobe connect.. Help...

Ok, this issue can happen from a number of little things. The most common mistake is that you zipped the folder containing all the MP3 Player files. So you get a zip of a folder with the content in that folder. You want to zip the files, so they are on the top level of the zip. (I have made this mistake many times before)

The other thing that can cause an issue is a typo or mistake in the XML. I have accidentally removed an '=' between track and the track name, and that will cause the XML to fail to load. So double check your track info (it looks fine above).

Here is a working version with the Boom Born Blues on my account and on your account, as listed above. You can download it from this link and play with it and see my version of the XML. http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com … wnload=zip

Hey Jorma,

Thanks for that, I have no idea why it wasn't working. I did the zip the folder in a folder thing the first time, but it wouldn't load at all. So the subsequent uploads were just the two .swf files and the .xml.

I've double checked against your file and the URL's to the names look the same. Anyhow it's working now and I'm grateful for your speedy response. It's much appreciated.

cheers,

Tony
