Adding Video in PPT

I am trying to add a video into the middle of a powerpoint presentaion for some new hire training and am having problems.  I have tried using the FLV but powerpoint wont seem to load the video.

What am I doing wrong and how can I get the video loaded to play in the middle of a powerpoint presentation?

PowerPoint itself does not support .flv files, but if you use Presenter, you can add a .flv to your presentation through the insert video option.  It is added to a slide, so if it is not part of a specific slide, you will need to make sure to include a blank slide were you want to insert the video.
