audio

We need help.

a.  The sound on the first 4 slides is fine - after that there appears to be an echo, is there a way to edit the audio for the remaining slides.   We tried Adjust Volume, select normalize and dynamics, clicked okay, okay but the change does not apply even after saving.

b.  Once a recording has been applied to the slides, is there a way to export the audio to an outside file,  so corrections can be made to the slide and the sound imported in again.

Thank you for your help.

Re: audio

a. The audio editor in Captivate is basic. We use Soundbooth to do all of our audio recordings for Captivate. This is because we can filter out noise, adjust volume and do all the other true audio editing that we need. Then we import the audio to Captivate and publish. You can use any audio recording tool, many people use Audacity (seeing as it is free).

b. Yes you can export your audio, either as a WAV or MP3 audio file. Go into Audio > Audio Management. Then select the slides you want to export the audio from, make sure you have the correct audio file type and click the Export button. Then you can import the audio files into any audio editing tool and see if you can clean up the echo. Then re-save the audio and import it into Captivate as a PCM-WAV or MP3 audio file.
