Blocking SSO and XML API access from public

I would like to setup HTTP Header Authentication to provide single sign-on between my application and a licenced Connect Pro server behind the firewall.   But I need to prevent the public users from logging in to Connect Pro directly or through XML themselves.

Is there any solution or configuration in Connect Pro to block the public access to the XML API and the entry URL for header authentication (https://connectURL/system/login) but allow them to launch the meeting URL (https://connectURL/meetingroomABC) after being authenticated by my application?

I believe your only option would be to filter out the API calls through your firewall.  Connect wouldnt have this functionality.  Does that help answer your question?
