Error occurred during initialization of VM

Hello,

Since the last automatic windows update (16 april 2009) I cannot start the Adobe Connect Enterprise Service anymore (I was using Adobe Connect 7, without service packs).

I can see the next message in service-out.log:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap

I cannot imagine how to fix this issue.

At first I tried tuning the jvm config parameters at C:\breeze\appserv\win32\jvm.config (I thought it was related to java problems). But no luck.

Anyone having the same problem?

How much space do you have avalible on your C: drive?

124GB free, that's not related with the problem.

Seems like some of the windows 2003 server R2 updates had impact on the connect enterprise service.

Yes I'have the same problem, any ideas? Remove the updates solve the problems?

I just uninstalled the update KB956572, which seems to be the cause of the problem.

Now the connect enterprise service starts again :-)

Hopefully, there is a way that both can live together...

Realy is ok! I uninstall this update => KB956572,
and now is runing Adobe Connect is ok!

Hi All,

I just heard from our support/engineering teams about this issue.  There is a known issue with the mentioned Microsoft patch (KB 956572)on French and possibly other non-english OSes that affects applications using Java including the Connect Pro server. The issue has been reported to Microsoft. Until Microsoft has an update, uninstalling the security patch (KB 956572) resolves the issue.
