Can't play recordings on a Mac

I have a student that can't play recordings back on her Mac.  I had her check to make sure her firewall port was open.  She has also done the "test my computer" and it says that Flash player and add-ins are there.  Any other ideas?

how's her internet -- specifically, what type of internet is she using.  we've found that satellite internet produces a very poor user experience.

IS the recording she is trying yo view marked public or private?  This would make a difference.  What does she see when she tries to access the recordings?

It is not on a satellite internet provider.  It is marked public.
