Can't import video or flash

I installed Adobe Presenter 7 on 2 workstations, and in both instances I can't import video or flash, I don't even get an import dialog box. I installed presenter at home, and it works fine. I thought it might be an admin issue; I had problems previously with Captivate regarding admin rights, but I was logged into both of these machines with admin rights. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Re: Can't import video or flash

Am told unless you have multiple licenses for Presenter 7 that it will work on only one computer.  Unlike previous version which we used on a couple of computers.

Re: Can't import video or flash

I had it installed on 1 computer, then tried another.
We have 7 licenses...
Thanks for your reply, however!

Re: Can't import video or flash

Can you provide file path for video ? Also, which version of PowerPoint are you using ?

Re: Can't import video or flash

As to a path for the video, I don't even get that far...I click on "import video" and nothing happens. No import dialog box, nothing.
I am using PowerPoint 2007 on a networked XP machine.
Thanks

Re: Can't import video or flash

You can do a simple check by opening Add/Remove Programs and then see Add/Remove Features

Re: Can't import video or flash

What would the entry be? I only see Office Enterprise 2007 and Front Page-

Re: Can't import video or flash

On my system i have an entry with name Microsoft Office Standard 2007 . On clicking Change and selecting Add or Remove Features , see  if there is a red cross against Office Shared Features .
You can expand that list to see what all inside Office shared features is installed

Also , try enabling Macros and ActiveX if it is not enabled for PowerPoint , this option is in Trust Center Settings of Powerpoint

OK I see that...there are many...did you install all, or specific ones?

Re: Can't import video or flash

I kept it as default but you can ensure that VB for Application is installed

Re: Can't import video or flash

OK I see...it has a drop down list and there is a 1 next to "installed on first use", and a red "x" next to "not available". I selected "run all from My Computer", but it didn't help...

Re: Can't import video or flash

Hmm It worked for me . Did you open PowerPoint again after configuring PowerPoint ?

You can see if your Macro and Active X are enabled in Trust Center Settings of PowerPoint options

Re: Can't import video or flash

They were set to give notification or to prompt...I set them both to enable...no results. I have to say, however, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me with this...no one, even the vendor that we have our hosting with, can figure this out!

Re: Can't import video or flash

Here's the solution to this problem:
At our institution, we use a redirected desktop and My Documents. It uses a UDP redirect, instead of a mapped drive location. If you save a presenter file to either of these locations, you can't import video or flash.
The answer: save the presentation to the local hard drive or a mapped network drive.
Glad this is solved...
