PowerPoint slides not progressing

Hi.

Had a problem with a lecture last night. Things went fine until approx 37 mins into the lecture when the students said that they were stuck on Slide 25 even though I had moved on to Slides 26, 27 and 28. I was able to do a workaround during the live lecture when I clicked the Sync button so that the students could manually advance the slides with me talking.

Any ideas why this may have happened?

Very rarely, I've seen something similar, and its very difficult to diagnose (likely related to bandwidth/latency/something else) or reproduce. 

One method that has worked for me to recover, however, is to toggle the sync button off like you did, but then immediately toggle it back on.  I believe that action resends the "sync now" command to all participants, which in my experience, has brought things back to sync.
