Captivate 3 Presentation in Adobe Connect 7

Hey there,
Have a question regarding a Captivate 3 presentation in Adobe Connect 7.  The Captivate Presentation was created on a Vista Machine.  She is trying to upload the presentation and play it back in Adobe Connect.  When she loads the .SWF file or the .ZIP file, it just shows the video it doesn't provide the controllers to control the video.  I watched the tutorial for uploading a Captivate presentation, but it doesn't show you the settings you have to modify in Captivate to enable the controllers for playback.  It also doesn't tell which file format you are supposed to upload.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Melissa

Re: Captivate 3 Presentation in Adobe Connect 7

Melissa,

First off, welcome!

OK to the task at hand. It sounds like the skin on your presentation has been adjusted. To get to the skin settings in Cp3, is not the most intuitive process, so here's how you get there:
Cpskinmenu.JPG?download=Cpskinmenu.JPG
And the box you should have your user verify is checked is here:
Cpskinbox.JPG?download=Cpskinbox.JPG

As to the format for uploading the Captivate project, you can either publish it locally as Flash (SWF)(ideally in a zip file) and then push it up to the Connect server via the content library, or you can use the publish directly to Connect to let Captivate push the correct files up without you thinking about it.

So once you load it into the Content Library, can you bring it into a Connect Meeting?
Thanks,

Yes - content in the content library can be loaded into a Connect Meeting.  For us, we put all of our powerpoints in the content library first, then go to our meeting room, and then in a share pod, share the document from the content library.  I imagine the same process would work for Captivate presentations.

Re: Captivate 3 Presentation in Adobe Connect 7

Correct. However one thing to know about Captivate.

If you publish the file to your computer and then push it up to the Connect content library, when it is played in a connect room you cannot play it in a synced mode. If you upload it directly from the publish to Connect option in Captivate, it will work in a synced playback in the Connect meeting room.
