New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

Good afternoon,

I just completed an install of Adobe Connect Server 7.1 on a brand new server.  I'm running it on SQL Server Express.  Everything looks to be working correctly.  I can create new users, run meetings, create content and view desktops within meetings and even connect via Active Directory.

We're getting the following error on the home page.

Invalid

I have no idea what this means.  However, I'm assuming that it has something to do with the training section of the home page.  This is where the error occurs.  Once I click the ok button on the error, I see a page on the training catalog tab of the home page that says "Not Authorized For This Item."  But I'm the administrator, and I am able to see and manage the content from the higher level training side of the portal.  It just seems like the home page that has my meetings, my trainings etc is where its hanging up.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

Have you checked your debug.log yet to see if there is any additional details in there?

Re: New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

Thanks for the response...

I followed these instructions. http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon … &sliceId=1  However, its not creating a debug.log file for opening the home page.  Should it?

Re: New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

It won't create a debug.log accessing yourhome page, but it does create one in general regarding general server transactions and may give you some additional clues in regards to what could be wrong with your installation.

It's a good place to start troubleshooting the issue.

Re: New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

Thanks again,

I've looked in all the log files and there is nothing in the log files related to my access on the home page.  Which is strange, because you would think that it would log the error there with more detail.  But I'm not seeing anything in there.

Re: New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

Any other types of errors that could be related?

Search for "some-errors". It should be logged in the debug.log file. I don't see why it wouldn't. If you do find it, I assume the problem should be more verbose around that error, possibly sometime before you see it in the logs.

I'm hoping someone from Adobe will chime in - and if not I recommend talking to support @ Adobe...

Possibly an installer error for C7 SP1?

Re: New 7.1 Install with Error - [Invalid]

The solution to this issue was to contact support and get a new license file.  Between the time that we had our original file (macromedia Breeze 5) they have made changes to the system that would cause a fresh install Adobe Connect 7.1 install not to work with that original license file.

Thanks Adobe Connect Support!
