Chromebook, webcam starts but only black?

Hello! I'm having an issue with a presenter using a Chromebook and HTML. Their mic works fine -- no issues there. When they start their webcam, I'm seeing a broadcast black screen (event outlines when they speak). Appears to function but no video coming through.

Any thoughts? Preview is turned off so it launches immediately. As mentioned, I (the host) am seeing their webcam video box on the screen but it is black.

Made sure no physical device was covering it just to make sure there wasn't a simple fix! LOL.

Any help would be appreciated. I have several more joining me in a couple hours and need to find a solution.
