And another issue with HTML app -- Closed Captioning Pod
So the updated closed captioning pod from Adobe (first thanks for including this) now works with HTML -- however you cannot setup a new connection to a closed captioning server in the HTML app -- you have to use the Classic app to add the server connection. Arggh...

Yeah, best solution will be when Adobe brings CC functionality into the core feature set of the product. This is expected in a soon to be released version of Connect 11.
Because Adobe made the decision to bring it into the Connect product (which is long over due) all future development of the App ground to a halt.

Adobe has gotten back to me on this issue and confirms (which I already knew) that it doesn't work in the standard app. They did mention that they WILL continue to allow the classic (flash) app into 2021 (although they didn't provide a timeline.) This is great news for the various other things that don't work well in the standard app!
