Presenter Failing to Find Attachments.

Presenter v7.0.2

I am having problems with PDF attachments becoming unlinked in my presentations.

After I create a presentation with several PDFs and then "Save As" a seperate template file to use for other presentations containing some of the same elements, the PDFs are unable to be located when I reopen the template. I have to keep browsing to relink them. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

At a guess, when you create a PowerPoint and link to PDFs, you have to save the PPT. I'd suggest that Presenter is then "remembering" the file path between that PPT and the PDFs.

When you then save the PPT as a template, it gets saved to a different locations....so the path between PPT and PDFs is broken....or certainly (when you create a new PPT based on the template and save that) the new PPT may not remember what used to exist on a different PPT file.

That's my guess...not sure if there is a workaround.

Bob - Are you linking the PDF as hyperlinks on the slide, or are you creating Presenter attachments (from Presentation Settings dialog)? In either case, you may find some answers in the following section from Adobe Presenter Help documentation.
