Anonymous Questions

I was on a demo of Adobe Connect today and the following question was asked:

Is there a way to ask questions anonymously, so that even the hosts and presenters don't know who is asking the question?

Does anyone have an answer for me or a work around?

Apparently, this organization holds company meetings and there is a need for questions to be asked without repercussions.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Anonymous Questions

If you log in as a guest, you can be anonymously sort of.  You can call yourself whatever you want (guest, student, Batman, etc.), and that is the name that shows up on the attendee list.

Re: Anonymous Questions

Create one user login and have everyone log in as that particular user. Then you'll have 100 Janes or Joes in your conference. Then there is no way to track who it is.

Re: Anonymous Questions

Or if you do not need to track who attends the meeting at all, you can provide a meeting URL to enter the meeting where they won't need to login at all:

http://accountdomain/meetingname?guest

(or you can change "guest" to whatever name you want participants to have.)

If you do this then users will automatically be let into the room and bypass the login screen and they will all have the same name in the attendee list.

There is more about this tip on slide 19 of this presentation:

Re: Anonymous Questions

If you are using the Q&A pod, one of the options is to turn off displaying the participant's names with the questions.

Also, if you want 100% anonymity (or if you just don't care what the names are), you can distribute the link with a guest name pre-filled out, e.g. http://connect.myserver.com/mymeeting?g … =Anonymous

Then, anyone accessing the room via this link will automatically be assigned the name "Anonymous" "Anonymous 2" etc.
