Playing videos within presentation

I'm struggling to figure out how I can play video's within my presentation.  I know how to do each individually, but need to know how I can pause the presentation versus close it and share the video, then go back to the presentation.
Is this possible?

To embed a video in a PPT(X) slide deck in a way that Connect can use it, you'd need to use Adobe Presenter, http://www.adobe.com/products/presenter/

Otherwise you can use the trick of layering the pods (offsetting mutlitple pods on the left and right hand side so you can click on any pod at any point and bring it to the front. This way you can bring the approprate Share pod to the front and display video/ppt/pdf/etc content as needed without having to do the whole load/reload game.
