API and 9.2

There are a couple new features announced with 9.2 that might impact the API.
The one I am most concerned about is the new first login behaviour where newly created users can be forced to change their password, and that this is set to true by default.  I am worried that this will affect the users I'm creating via API, as it is important that they NOT be forced to change their password in our case.  So I'm looking for any additional parameters that would be needed to either change this setting, or to specify this option on user create?
Any resources that document changes to the API to reflect 9.2 in general would be great.

The option to force users to change their password after login will be enabled by default only in the Connect UI. By enabled, I mean that the default state of the checkbox in User creation UI will be selected. There will be no change in User creation workflows from the XML API. Let me know if you have any other concerns regarding the same.
