Adobe Connect 9 no longer works with Osprey 820e capture card?

I was using an Osprey 820e capture card with Adobe Connect 8 with no problems. Now that Connect 9 has rolled out the video pod no longer sees the feed coming from the 820e?

Does anyone know if what I need to change my settings to?

I have a similar problem. However I am using a standard FireWire interface connecting my mini-DV camera with a FireWire output to it. All other apps, for example Adobe Premiere can see this camera... when AC9 flash menu to select the camera doesn't see it all =( I am using MacOS
P.S. There was no problem on AC8

Have you tried connecting the camera without using the add-in?

Re: Adobe Connect 9 no longer works with Osprey 820e capture card?

I am using the basic webcam pod that comes with the hosted version.

I use FlashMedia Encoder to control the size/rate of the output (e.g. 640x480 @ 20frames / sec.)

-It would be helpful if someone could review the basic settings you need in FlashMedia Encoder in order for video capture cards such as the 820e to work with the basic Adobe Connect Webcam pod.

Is there alternative software to use?

I am even willing to admit that I am not sure if my initial configuration was correct .... though it did work with Connect 8.

When you are in the meeting, does it launch using the Connect Add-in  (stand alone window), or in your web browser?

If FMLE is being used to send the video to the capture card, those settings should be right. Maybe use the VP6 codec, instead of the H.264.

Re: Adobe Connect 9 no longer works with Osprey 820e capture card?

I have used IE (external AC window) and Chrome (internal AC window).

My FMLE settings are (tried both VP6 and H.264):

Input:
640x480
@ 20 Frames per / second

Output
640x480
800kbps
Drop frames

Does FMLE need to be streaming to a Flash Media server?

Re: Adobe Connect 9 no longer works with Osprey 820e capture card?

FMLE does seem to be an extra step in the works. FMLE is intended to stream to an FMS/AMS, and is not needed to broadcast live video in Connect. The Connect video pod is essentially doing the work of FMLE.

Can the Osprey card been seen in the Connect application? If so, can you set the video to 640X480 on the camera or in the Osprey card?

You can only get to the settings of the Opsrey 820e through FMLE.

Without adjusting the settings the video is streaming in at too high of quality.

I'm having the same problem with a different model Osprey card. The Adobe Connect add-in appears to be the problem. If I launch the meeting in the browser the video pod works fine with the Osprey card

I ended up lowering the output resolution from the card to the AC standard webcam pod. I had it set at 640x480 @ 20FPS. Now its set at 540x360 @ 20FPS.  This worked.
