"Linked to Chat"

Hello all,

I encountered this situation. The "Presenter Chat" pod and the "Chat" pod were linked. When the (2) administrators attempted to enter text into the Presenter Chat pod the text disappeared and was not displayed in either chat pod.

When the text was entered into the "Chat" pod the text was displayed, but only in the "Chat" pod and not "Presenter Chat."

Is this typical; can it be manipulated? We are ideally looking for a way to communicate with the attendees solely in the "Presenter Chat" pod as administrators.

We would greatly appreciate help with this issue if I can clarify in any way - please post. Thanks so much.

Re: "Linked to Chat"

That is a bug worth going to Adobe. Each instance of a chat pod should be completely separate.

Re: "Linked to Chat"

OK. Thank you. Can you offer any advice on the best way to get in touch with Adobe to discuss this  particular problem? Again, thanks.

What you are describing looks like the expected behavior of a chat pod linked to the Q&A pod.
Presenter can not use Q&A pod to talk to each other, only to answer questions posted in the 'in meeting' chat pod used by participant.
When a participant enters a question in the 'in meeting' chat pod, that question is only visible for that participant.
The question is then queued in the Q&A pod for Presenter to answer it.

Additionally, you can have a Presenter chat pod in the presenter area where Presenter can chat privately without any participant viewing.

G,

If Guillaume can't help, and he's a great resource for Connect, then you should be able to call your support # from adobe or use the support tool at adobe.com (http://www.adobe.com/support/?ogn=EN_US-gn_supp_support)
