Presenter crashing

I am running Powerpoint 2010 with Windows XP. I've used Presenter for several presentations, but I'm now having problems. It crashes while I'm recording. Below are the details about the crash:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH
  Application Name:    POWERPNT.EXE
  Application Version:    14.0.6009.1000
  Application Timestamp:    4cc1a4ed
  Fault Module Name:    PpsAudio.dll
  Fault Module Version:    7.0.7.7746
  Fault Module Timestamp:    4e2987a5
  Exception Code:    c0000005
  Exception Offset:    00010755
  OS Version:    6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
  Locale ID:    1033

Additional information about the problem:
  LCID:    1033

I'm at a loss to know how to prevent this from happening again. It happened three times today. I closed powerpoint and restarted it and then I restarted my computer. I disabled Adobe Presenter than re-enabled. None of these strategies worked. It is still crashing. I have the latest version of Presenter.

Re: Presenter crashing

We spent hours discussing this problem with Adobe technical support, and uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft Office and Adobe Presenter three times.  What finally worked was this:

1)  Remove all animations from your PowerPoint presentation
2)  Record your audio with no animations
3)  After the audio is recorded, add the animations back into the PowerPoint presentation
4)  Use the "sync" feature in Adobe presenter to time your animations with your previously recorded audio.

Hope this helps!

Re: Presenter crashing

I tried another solution suggested in a blog ... deleted a corrupt file in presenter and it has worked just fine then. I forget which file it was but it worked to correct the problem.

Re: Presenter crashing
