Captivate Fonts With Bullets

In Captivate 4, I'm experiencing a difference in color and clarity when I use bullets in the same font. For example, I'm using a white font, size 18, and in boldface.  Test without a bullet is clear and bright.  Text with a bullet is somewhat less bright and fuzzy.  Is there some way to eliminate this or is this a known problem with fonts containing bullets?

Re: Captivate Fonts With Bullets

Dear pdxlearner,

I've just seen your post and, having had the same experience and solved the problem, I thought I'd sign up to share the answer with you.

In Captivate 4, click on Edit > Preferences to bring up the Preferences dialog box.

Select SWF Size and Quality, located under the Project heading.

At the top of this box, you will see an option to 'Anti-alias transparent captions'. You need to deselect this option.

I don't know how or why changing the anti-alias option solves this problem, but it does!

I hope this helps,

Loraine
