Cp 5 Text boxes refuse user input?

Hello,

I have a Text Entry Box (several of them actually) in a project...some of them work (allow user to key in a response) but others do not.

It is almost as if the pause kicks in right away, keeping the user from interacting with it...however the behavior does not seem to make any difference if I shorten or move the pause.

The slides are often back to back with other T.E.B...but the behavior seems to be random.

Thoughts?
