Advice for Migration

Right now I have a single 2003 server running both the Connect 7.5 application and the database. I'd like to migrate this over to two separate servers (one database, one application) as well as performing the update to Connect 7.5 SP1 (because of customer Flash Plugin issues, we can't move to 8.0+).

What's going to be the best way to do this? From the documentation, the path I've come up with is:
Restore a backup of my database to the new database server.
Install Adobe Connect 7.5 on the new server.
Copy over my content directory from my current Connect server to the new Connect server.
Verify that everything is working.
Install Connect 7.5 SP1

Is this the recommended path? Any additional advice?
