SWF video files gets stuck when viewed from outside of US

We ve our Adobe connect pro 7.5 servers hosted  in US. It consists of a edge server, load balancer, 2 origin servers, Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Server and also Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Service Pack 3. Also the shared storage is in another server. .
Now the problem is we have converted a wmv file to swf file using flash visual studio and uploaded to  the shared content. Now when someone views that file from the content library, in US, he is able to view the video with no disruptions. But if a person outside views, say Europe or Asia, then the video stops buffering at around 6 or 7 mins (video is 10 mins long.. size around 15mb)...
Also , from outside US, we cannot download that video from the content library. Download gets disrupted at exactly around 62% to 74%.
Can someone  please tell what is the problem here. Also the  shared storage content cache size is 25%.
Please help..

Re: SWF video files gets stuck when viewed from outside of US

Not sure exactly what the issue is, but I'd definitely recommend converting the WMV to FLV instead of SWF.

SWF files are loaded completely in Adobe Connect before they will begin playing.  This means that it's very likely participants in different parts of the world may begin seeing the video before others.

FLV (and the new video formats supported in Connect 8 SP1) are streamed.  In this case, the entire file doesn't have to be downloaded before it will begin playing and should be more bandwidth efficient.

Re: SWF video files gets stuck when viewed from outside of US

Hello,

We are also facing a similar issue.

Is there any role played by cache on edge server, or content cache size parameter being 25%? Also, on some other thread somebody recommended switching "High Bandwidth" parameter on License File.
Is that something which can help if SWF format has to be used due to some business reason/compulsion?

I am assuming FLV also has some sort of Player controls at the bottom.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.
