Understanding the capabilities of the Collab SDK and extension

I've been researching and playing around with the Collab SDKs for the past week and I'd like to clarify a few questions i've had.

Is there any way to extend the actual Connect flex components, such as the Pods? For example being able to hide the "chrome" border on a particular share pod? Or maybe skinning it in a different color? Can I skin anything?

oh wow. I didn't know about the "help" and "sample projects" folders included with the sdk. This helps a ton.

I don't believe you can modify the room using the SDK. It is intended to allow you to create custom applications that can run in the meeting room and be Sync'd with all users in the room.

You can customize the look of the room using the Administrative tools. So, you can change the room look as a whole, but not an individual pod.
