Third-party Hosting Solutions

Our firm currently has an Adobe hosted Connect platform, but we're considering moving to a perpetual license and hosting in some other fashion - either in-house, or using a third-party firm.

For those of you with on-premise installations using third-party hosts; which are you using, or which do you have experience with?
What kinds of challenges or problems are you experiencing?
What have been the advantages of your installation?
Are you hosting meetings between continents/globally at all?

Connect Solutions appears to be the obvious, dominant player in this space. Are you using some other firm to host your Connect servers? Akamai, Limelight, or some other CDN? Is this even possible?
