Corporate firewalls and connect pro

I have two new customers in banking that their users are unable to log into our connect.  Never had this happen in 5 years of pro meetings.  One company is in colorado and the other is in Prague.

Question: Are there any how to files that can explain to a corporation how to set their firewall so their users can participate in connect meetings?

And, are there any specific settings that should be on the host connect server to support corporate firewalls?

Suggestions and recommendations?

Thanks.

Re: Corporate firewalls and connect pro

Do you use Connect hosted or on-premise?

If you have an own license, try this --> http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/240/2405470e.html
and read this --> http://www.connectusers.com/forums/cucb … hp?id=1833

If you are on a hosted account, send them the Connect testing page URL and look what results they get.

Re: Corporate firewalls and connect pro

Most likely the individuals have port 1935 blocked in their environment. If their IT staff can unblock that port, then Connect should run just fine.

If you are hosted with Adobe, then their server cluster is set up to tunnel to port 80 if 1935 is blocked, and I believe that daskin's post is referring on how to do that for your server if you are licensed.

Re: Corporate firewalls and connect pro

I've seen this most often with banks.  It's port 1935.
I'm assuming it's something to do with the banking industry, but most of the bank techs have been unwilling to open 1935 when we've asked.

Good luck!
