Promoted Host entering room with only presenter rights.

Thank you for advice,

If a person who has been promoted to a Host for a particular room, enters that particular room, would they enter as a Host or enter as a Presenter?

In this case, the user does not receive their intended Host rights until a Named Host enters the room.

Rather recently, users could enter a room they had been promoted to a Host over and would enter with their Host rights in effect.  Now, I am seeing different behavior.

The user in question is not a Named Host but a user who has been promoted to a Host for a particular room.

Again, thank you for any information.

Re: Promoted Host entering room with only presenter rights.

You probably have a 'Named Host Licensing'? This is an 'expected behavior', introduced as 'technical enforcement' in Adobe Connect 9: A 'Named Host' needs to be present in a Meeting Room for the promoted 'Host' could function as a Host.
Try changing to 'Concurrent User Licensing'.

Hi Jim,

irfant is correct; it sounds like the change we made recently to enforce our EULA.

If the person promoted to be a host of  the room is part of the "Named Hosts" group, then they will automatically be promoted.

If there is no one from the "Named Hosts" group in the meeting room, then all users are demoted to participants.
