ACP 9 Add-in Auto installed at Particpant Login??

Hello,

So we were upgraded over the weekend...and one of the curious things I noticed today is that when I log on to Connect as a Particpant...the system auto prompts the user to install the add in.

The machines I have been tested this on (W8) have all had the Add-in installed in the past.

Does this work even if the user does not already have ANY version of the Add-in or only if Connect senses a previous version?

Depending on the answer to that...are we sure that the "/?lightning=true" trick will still work to force install it?

Hey Dennis,

If the participant has never installed the Adobe Connect add-in, then they would NOT be prompted to do so after the upgrade either (unless you used the lightning=true URL parameter).

The lightning installer will only ask to upgrade the add-in if it already exists. It will also launch if a user doesn't have the add-in and tries to share their screen.
