Connect 8 Meetings - Videos

I apologize if this is repetitive.  I have several videos that I want to upload onto the content server.  They are currently in the mp4 video format.  Apparently they have to be converted to flash in order to show them in a meeting.  Sharing from the desktop is too slow.

I have all the adobe products for conversion, which is best?  I used Adobe encoder previously but the result is the flash file plays in seconds whereas the mp4 format is 10 minutes in length.  I have paid attention to the frame rates and bit rate options.

If anyone could advise, I would be great.  Thanks, Mary

Re: Connect 8 Meetings - Videos

The MP4 should work, but I have had mixed success with that video format in Connect 8. The settings I use when converting video for use in Connect are:

FLV
H.263
720 X 480
800 Kbps

Audio can be set to whatever the original file was at.

These numbers are not hard set numbers, but a good starting place to work with the media you have.

I'd also second Jorma's recommendation.

FLV videos are supported with Adobe Connect Mobile on mobile devices and MP4 videos are not - which is a bit ironic.
