Transcoding offline recordings

I am trying to transcode an offline recording to a format such as .mov or .mp4 when the conversion is complete, I have no audio.  Does anyone have any suggestions to help keep the audio in my recordings?

I've had good luck with the FLV to MP3 tool for extracting the audio from offline recordings. There are many tools out there for this, but this one is free and it works.

Then I just use a video editor to place the audio back in the recording when it's converted to MOV or MP4 or whatever.

Thank you for the response.  I actually tried to do that on another piece of software and it didn't work but this piece of software works.  I just had to put the program on my Windows machine and use dropbox to get it to my Mac which is where my video editor is located.  That's not a bug deal though.

Yeah, it's not the prettiest process, but does seem to work.
