White board tools for participants

We're a little confused about how to use a whiteboard overlay with the accompanying tools when conducting a live presentation in a meeting. If we provide enhanced participant rights, I don't see an option for whiteboard tools.  The "share pod" is the closest and we have fears that we may be sharing controls for our presentation inadvertently.

Anyone with experience doing this who can provide us with advice?

Re: White board tools for participants

lhellmer,

You are correct that you must give the enhanced participant rights to the share pod for the participants to have use of the white boarding tool. This does give them rights to the entire share pod, so if there is a presentation there, they can advance the presentation as well.

However, in my experience, if people are using the white boarding tool, they are not trying to play with the rest of the pod. You can tell who is doing what if you turn on the option to show everyone's cursors, so they can be held accountable for their actions, and so you know who is marking on the white board at any give time.

Another option in such circumstances is to "Screen Share" your presentation.

Then when you want to allow white boarding "Pause and Annotate"

Turbo Screen Sharing now makes screen sharing your presentations much more dynamic, and allows you to retain control.
