Sample Connect Pro Meeting Room

Great room! I am a single-person web team from a University in Australia who is looking to use Connect/Events for exactly the same thing - MBA information sessions.

I have been using the Connect Pro trial and am now getting more confused by the minute. Can you provide advice on exactly how you set up the room and what experts you are using (programmers, designers)?

I thought Connect was going to be simple to use, but I must be doing something wrong and now cannot see what I would need to be able to use the software. Basically I want participants to be able to register for the session, ask questions prior to the session as well as live, chat freely in a chat box and download shared files.

What issues are you having?

The Connect Events module will set up a registration page that you can have people go to and create their own account for attending meetings or on-demand content you set up through an event.

The meetings them selves are pretty straight forward, and should be able to do all you are looking for, short of allowing people to ask questions prior to the session. In the session they should be able to chat freely (so long as you have a Chat pod active in the meeting room) and download files (using the Files pod).
