Using JAWS to view Presenter modules
Hi everyone,
I am brand new to Presenter and need to develop a course that is as accessible as possible. I have build a simple course using header and body placeholders in PPT templates. I have also added some text boxes.
JAWS will read everything when in PPT presentation mode.
When I publish in Presenter, I get nothing. I tried the pause after animation and nothing.
The support I got on the Adobe site speaks about making the presentation accessible in PPT - but mostly around adding alt tags etc. to graphics.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am using PPT 2010 and the latest Presenter (just bought this week).
Thanks,
S

Re: Using JAWS to view Presenter modules
Jaws should be able to read any text on the slides and any text you have in the Notes pane (from the Notes field in PPT). You will likely need to force the Notes pane to the front on launch, so JAWS can see it. This can be done in the theme editor by selecting the Notes pane as the default.

Re: Using JAWS to view Presenter modules
Hi Jorma,
Thanks for the reply. I tried that, notes come up on top and I still get nothing. It seems to read the HTML info (html page title etc. but nothing about the Presenter module).
What it is supposed to read but doesn't (for me)
1. Text on screen (although I would prefer it doesn't)
2. Notes page
3. Alt tagged images
Any suggestions would be must appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Does it read untagged images?
