Adobe Connect Login Portlet

Hello all,

Has anyone ever designed a front-facing page/portlet for Adobe Connect to force authentication on the portlet versus on the Adobe Connect site itself? I am looking to do something similar but am curious whether I can reuse code already in login.xslt or send web services calls instead. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated - not trying to reinvent the wheel here :).
