Pause/Resume Presenter using JavaScript?

I have a course that that prompts the user for security questions every so often and would like to pause the course while the user is being prompted to answer.

Any suggestions or examples on how to pause the material?

The course is is SCORM 1.2 compliant reporting to a LMS I wrote to track progress if that matters.

I ended up resolving this by using the flash component Andrew discusses here to expose the play/pause functionality to javascript.  http://www.connectusers.com/tutorials/2 … h_wrapper/
