Is there any way I can animate myself drawing something on the slide?

What do you mean by animate myself ? Do you want to capture screen while you are drawing something on a slide ?

Yes, you are correct.

You can defintely do that by simply recording the area of the slide on which you want to draw and then publish.

I do not know how to use the drawing tools in Captivate.  Maybe you can refer me to a link that will show me where those tools are and how I will use them.
