In Captivate 5 you can export object styles and import them to another project. This should accomplish you objective.

The Export/Import captions feature is intended to allow you to take all your captions and work with them in a word processing program. This allows you to leverage more customization that what is available in Captivate, and then bring your changes back into the project you are working on. This feature doesn't allow you to transfer the captions between project files.

Have you tried saving the project as a template file (CPT or CPXT), and then use that for future projects?

What I need is to export only the text captions and highlight boxes so I can save time doing new ones in the new demo... And that option doesn
