Multiple Directories AD + LDAP

We plan to put our Connect Pro Server (with SQL Server installed on the same server) in the DMZ. We have an Domain Controler (DC DMZ) in our DMZ with a trust relationship with our DC in the LAN.
We need to authenticate our Internal users on the DC LAN and our external users on an LDAP Extranet (OpenLDAP) which is in the DMZ.

Is it possible to use 2 directories (AD + LDAP) to import and authenticate our users?

If it's not possible and we decide to import users with a CSV where would the password be stored? In the SQL Database? If so is it encrypted?

Otherwise is there a way of importing/updating users accounts into the Connect Database via a web service call? That way I would import and authenticate my internal users from the DC LAN and schedule a web service import from the LDAP DMZ. Any pointers please?

It is not officially supported but can be done, if you would like some more information let me know.  It would be too much for a forum post.
