Number of database connections

Hi,
I am running Adobe Connect 7.5SP1 on an individual server and SQL 2005 SP3 on a sperate DB server.

I noticed that when I do a SP_WHO, I have 47 connections from AC to the DB. Some are few days old.

Is that normal? Do I need do some schedule db maintenance regularly?

This is normal.  Adobe Connect uses DB Pooling so it doesn't have the overhead of establishing a new connection everytime it is needed. 
Yes you should schedule DB Maintenance regularily, but that has nothing to do with the number of connections.
