Eliminating the playbar at the bottom
Is there a way to eliminate the playbar at the bottom when publishing to flash? I saw that for some Adobe publishers, there's an XML file to edit, but no such luck with the way Captivate publishes.

Re: Eliminating the playbar at the bottom
If you go to the Project Menu -> Skin Editor, there is a checkbox on the Playback Control Tab that allows you to toggle the Playback control. Simply un-check "Show playback control" and the playbar will disappear from the published SWF.
Hope this helps,

Re: Eliminating the playbar at the bottom
As a second option, you can go to the Edit > Preferences menu. In there select the Project > Publish Settings, and check the Externalize resources: Skin check box. This will give you two SWFs when published. One is the project and the other (the play bar and skin) will have _skin as the end of the file name.
Either way works.

Re: Eliminating the playbar at the bottom
Hi there
I suppose it depends on how you plan on using the output.
Option 2 that was proposed would likely present some difficulties if you plan on hosting the Captivate on a Web Server. This is because the associated HTML and JavaScript files would be expecting to find the _skin.SWF. So you would need to amend them properly.
Cheers... Rick :)
