LDAP and room attendees

Hi,

we have some virtual rooms with LDAP syncronization configured.
If an user is removed from LDAP, the same user will automatically be removed from a room participant?

Thanks,
S

Re: LDAP and room attendees

If you run regular syncs and have the following option enabled under;
"Synchronization Settings -> Policy Settings"
Delete users and groups in Connect Pro that have been deleted from your directory service, then yes they would be removed.

This is a setting we recommend using only when you are cleaning up your users in Connect, and not to be used at all times.

Re: LDAP and room attendees

Hi Matt and thanks for the prompt reply :-)

So even if, I imagine, an user changed OU or move in LDAP directory, the same user will be removed from my rooms attendees list? Sorry I'm not so practical with LDAP ...

I'm trying to understand if some "old" administrator erased some attendees from our virtual rooms or if a misused setting like this one could have caused the deletion of some room participant.

Thanks,
S

Re: LDAP and room attendees

Matt,

Why do you recommend not having this turned on for every sync?
