Custom Reports

Hello,

I'm looking for software that can help us create custom reports, can anyone suggest something?

I've spoken with a few companies and they all try and sell a hosted eLearning service, but Adobe Connect wasn't cheap and I would think there would be something out there that could do a simple report that would have the user broken down by department, which courses they have taken, pass/fail, etc.

Have you explored the xml web service?
Have a look here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobatconnect/ -- the Connect dev center. 
The using xml web services document ( http://www.adobe.com/support/documentat … onnectpro/ ) is located on this page, along with many other good resources.

Using the web service you can query the system for many types of information.
