Unusual Connect Add-In Error

some users are getting an unusual error related to the connect Add-in.  I myself was working fine.  Decided to de-install and re-install 9.0 r177.  (Is this a newer Add-in release for V6?).

here is the error:  "Adobe Acrobat connect Add-In 9.0 r177 has encountered a problem and needs to close." 

The error report shows:  AppName:  connectaddin6x5.exe, AppVer:  9.0.177.0, ModName:  unknown, ModVer: 0.0.0.0, Offset:  00000003.

We recently pushed out a bunch of MS security patches.  anybody know if there are compatability problems?
