Using Linux with Chrome or Firefox

Using Chrome and Firefox on Fedora 26, both browsers pass the Adobe Connect test page at:

http://admin.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

However, when trying to connect to one of my university's meetings such as:

http://connect.odu.edu/r87105653/

I get a page showing "Adobe Connect requires Flash Player 11.2 or above." as if it's not installed. Both browsers have version 26 installed and confirmed by visiting http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/

It looks to me as if it's simply the meeting's entry page is not correctly identifying that browser has a valid version of Flash. Unfortunately, I'm not getting much help form the University support folks.

Any ideas?

Re: Using Linux with Chrome or Firefox

Apparently the University's portal is configured to require the Add-in which basically precludes using Linux. Very disappointing.

Yes, it looks like the University has turned on the feature that forces the Add-in for meetings. You may want to reach out to the group that manages the Connect account and let them know that it is causing this issue for you. While they may or may not change the setting, they will at least have awareness of the situation.
