Making Video Offline

We are just getting ready to launch Adobe Connect as the new solution for what we call our "virtual connection" We are really excited, but we do have an issue we are running into. The problem we have is that we need to be able to archive our recorded sessions, and the make offline feature is to time consuming. We cannot afford the time necessary to over see a process that requires a real time download. The content file must already exist as an FLV buried within Connect, or at least it would seem so. Does anyone have a good solution for getting their recordings off of the Adobe servers without a real time download?

Re: Making Video Offline

Johnathan,

Connect does not record the meeting recording as an FLV. Instead it keeps a timelilne and re-creates the meeting for the viewers to watch. This means that all interactive content in your meeting remains interactive to the viewers of the recordings (something not possible if the playback were an FLV). There is no easy way to download an FLV of the recording, though you could pull the source files for the meeting re-creation and post that somewhere else, but Connect was intended to be able to handle your archiving needs by being able to move the recordings into the Content Library to manage separate from the Meeting Rooms.
