Connect Pro 6 SP3 meeting add-in - certificate expired
When Flash Player 9 was released it introduced a new security model that required the Connect Pro meeting add-in to provide a valid security certificate in order to launch.
A bug in the application that generates these certificate set an expiry date for the Windows C6 SP3 meeting add-in on 6/20/2009.
As a result C6 SP3 meeting hosts are currenlty unable to launch a meeting in the add-in.
Our engineering team is currently working on releasing an updated add-in with a new certificate. We are expecting it to be available by sunday 6/21 evening (PDT).
All Connect Pro 6 SP3 users on windows will have to update their add-in.
I will update this post as the updated add-in becomes available.

Thanks for the update. We were troubleshooting this all day and are glad to hear that the problem has been identified and a solution is on the way. We'll be able to limp through the weekend, but we will definitely need a resolution when classes start tomorrow morning.

The new C6 SP3 add-in is now available via lightning download.
Users impacted should re-install the add-in.
The stand alone installers will be available in a couple of hours.

The stand-alone installers are ready. We are working to get them posted on our website on adobe.com. In the mean time, you can get them directly from Adobe support.

This Mac add-in and the one being distributed via lightning download (both appear to be version 9.0.178.0) install OK but when a user tries to upload a PPT or JPG to a Connect room, it fails with no error message. It just drops them back at the "What do you want to share?" screen. We've seen this behavior on a couple computers. Clearing cache and reinstalling does not resolve this problem.
One user who had not yet downloaded the "new" add-in noted that her existing add-in was version 9.0.180.0, a presumably more recent version than the add-in currently being distributed. When she uses Connect with the 9.0.180.0 add-in, everything works fine.
As far as we knew, the certificate expiration problem did not affect Macs, but it seems Adobe released a new Mac add-in that is not working properly.
Guillaume, Alistair, or anyone else from Adobe... any thoughts on this?

Alistair /Guillaume - somewhat similar questions, does the product team have any pre-made Altiris or MS-SMS/System Center packages to help orgs push add-ins out?

An update to this issue... the problem seems to be isolated to users running Mac OS 10.5. In very limited testing, the add-in works properly for users running Mac OS 10.4, but users running Mac OS 10.5 experience the problems described above.
