Firewire
I am trying out Connect Pro in hopes of being able to use it to stream live videos of our church service. We are using Canon video cameras in our santuary and they have firewire connectors. But, our pc in our video room does not have firewire capabilities. Does anyone know how this problem could be resolved so we could stream live video through our video cameras to our pc and then to our audience that is scattered in different parts of the world?

Re: Firewire
If I understand your situation, you will need a firewire card for your computer and a compatible cable. They are inexpensive. Here are two:

It sounds as if you will need a long cable from camera to computer. We have experimented successfully with cables up to 25 ft. Perhaps others can advise if longer cables cause a degradation in the signal. There are two kinds of firewire ends. You need to make sure that the cable is compatible with both your card and camera. Cables are available on internet, though I haven't seen a very long one that you might require. Probably get your local computer store to make you one.
Hope this helps.

Re: Firewire
Thanks for the advice. This was my thought as well and you confirmed what needs to be done. Some have told me this cannot work. However, I have only used USD connections in the passed. Have you did this type live video streaming using Connect Pro?

Re: Firewire
Our organization has a Cannon XL-1 that we use in Connect periodically. We connect it to a computer via fire wire and it works flawlessly.
