VoIP Audio Latency Adobe Connect

Is an audio latency of about 1 s and sometimes more OK for Adobe Connect? Is there anything I can do to improve this (we are using the hosted version)? Maybe ask to have SSL switched off? I would appreciate your advice!

Re: VoIP Audio Latency Adobe Connect

We had the same problem using an older computer. Someone in connectusers suggested we check our internet connection and computer.  We found our cable connection was not enough so we upgraded to a T-1.  It was offered that we should have a computer with 2.0 GHz processor or more.  We upgraded to 2.4 GHz and 4 meg RAM.

Latency improved dramatically to the point, most of the time, using Fast Images setting, that it is not an issue.  Good mouth/voice sync.  The reading is typically 35-45 ms as opposed to about 110-120 ms on the earlier Internet line.  The old/slower laptop is better with the T-1, but not nearly as good as the new computer.  So, the speed of your processor will make a difference in all aspect--loading videos, live video, slide transition, etc.  Even using High Bandwidth is quite acceptable much of the time.

This is our experience and we're not techie types.
