How to Make Sure that Audio is Recorded in Connect 9

Some of my meeting participants call in on a Dial-in telephony, and some use the audio in Connect.

How can I make sure that all of the meeting audio gets recorded?

Re: How to Make Sure that Audio is Recorded in Connect 9

For Connect to record telephone audio, it needs to be aware of phone bridge and connected to it. There are going to be two options that you can use to get the telephone audio into Connect so it can be recorded.

1. Use the Uinversal Voice (UV) tool. UV is a way to give Adobe Connect the ability to call into your phone bridge and establish two way communication between users on the phone and those using computer audio. It also allows you to record the telephone audio as part of the meeting recording. This can be done using the steps in this tutorial: http://www.connectusers.com/tutorials/2 … /index.php

2. Use a hardware audio bridge. While this will have a higher innitial cost, it can be easier to implement over the long run when using a phone bridge provider that doesn't provide persistant dialin information. You plug the phone into one side and the computer into the other and the computer sees the device as a microphone input and brodcasts the phone audio as VoIP audio. Depending on your setup this may or maynot provide 2-way audio (meaning the people on the phone may not hear those on VoIP, but with the correct setup, you have a stable and repeatable solution. One of the preferred tools is calle a THAT-2, http://amzn.com/B003D82WKC and it does have the ability to do 2 way audio.
